Industry as a role model to inquiry-based method at school

I want to describe my experience of the STEM Discovery Week 2018. In addition to my job as a teacher, I also work as a teachers’ trainer at the Faculty of Science Education at Technion, the Israel Institute of Science and Technology.
During the STEM Discovery Week, I did an activity with pre-service teachers and students from the 9th grade, who came to Technion for a visit.

The activity took place at Technion, the Israel Institute of Science and Technology. Around 20 students from the 9th grade of the Kfar Hasidim Secondary School attended the activity held at the Faculty of Science Education at Technion. There, they met a representative of the industry (also pre-service STEM teachers). The students were exposed to inquiry-based methods for discovering new technologies (as it has been done in the industry). Also, they were trained how to implement these methods at school. The activity was observed by STEM teachers from the school of Kfar Hasidim and pre-service teachers from Technion. Before the activity started, the pre-service teachers were presented to the STEM Discovery Week 2018.
I had the honor both to present pre-service teachers and students to the great idea of STEM discovery.
