I am a math teacher in a high school in Bogdanci, North Macedonia. For the first time, our school is participating in the STEM Discovery Week. We organised an activity called ,, Yes, I can !”. It includes (in the main activity) students from 2 grades ( 15-16 years old) and 2 teachers. The general idea was to introduce my students the term “Bioeconomy”, but also to encourage girls in STEM subject. We visited a local printing company, found out how much paper they use every day, researched about bio-paper in classroom and tried to make one with our chemistry teacher. At the end students presented their knowledge in front of their school friends from math club.
