Aerospace in class: A Learning Scenario ‘Moon Life and Healthy Eating’

ABSTRACT

It is a learning scenario created as a result of ‘Aerospace in Class online course’. This learning scenario is a learning content for a science lesson to reach creative ideas about how we should organise our dietary conditions in order to stay healthy on the Moon. People need to eat healthy in order to lead a healthy life in the world. But the living conditions on the moon are not like those on Earth. This study is a learning content for science lesson to reach creative ideas about how we should organise our dietary conditions in order to stay healthy on the Moon. This learning scenario Science and Technology lessons are located in the curriculum, basic skills and explore their competence, creativity, digital skills, provide information, explanation, justification, explanation, prediction, and are intended to develop skills such as reflection.

AIMS

This learning scenario aims to teach students basic information about the structure and properties of the Moon in a fun way. With this study, students discover that the structure of the Moon is different from that of the Earth. They also get an understanding of the difference between the time of day and night of the Moon and the Earth. He realizes that the gravity on the Moon is less than on the Earth. Through creativity and innovation, students are able to learn and test what life and driving on the Moon’s surface look like. Also, through stories, videos and discussions, students will develop and improve critical thinking and problem-solving skills.”

METHOD

This study is the ‘5E model’ for science lessons for 11-14-year-old students as a learning scenario for Aviation and Space in the classroom. Students watch the video about ”Airbus Foundation Discovery Space Food on the Moon” . Students express what they think about healthy eating with Mentimeter or Wordcloud (Brainstorm). Students explain healthy eating methods in the world. Creates a digital painting in Canva. How’s the house on the moon? Gravity, weather conditions, water, what foods are available? How can food on Earth be found on the Moon? Is it okay to eat a month as we do in the world? Will there be enough solar energy per month? (Brainstorm) They do research to solve the problem. Accordingly, he draws a picture or writes a story according to his abilities.
