“Experimental Pool” e Twinning project in our work as a joint product, 10 Turkish 2 Slovak 1 Croatian partners continue our project with different experiments and scientists. In our project, we work with students aged 4-11.
Finally, we were able to obtain many different colors by using the juice of cabbage for our students. In this experiment , we tried to understand how acidic or basic the different substances are. Do you want to determine whether a substance is acid or base with materials that you can easily find at home? We asked his question and started the experiment.
We made use of different materials in doing this.
Purple cabbage
Hot water
• Filtering
Baby Shampoo
Liquid Detergent
Soap Powder
Lemon Salt
• Vinegar
Pure water
• Carbonate
CONSTRUCTION OF THE EXPERIMENT:
- Purple cabbage grated with a grater
- Take it into a deep container and pour hot water on it
- We made it cool
- We separated the cabbage juice with the help of a strainer
- We bought cabbage juices in separate cups to make a colour comparison
- Water, liquid detergent, baby shampoo, carbonate, vinegar, lemon salt, soap powder are added to the cups listed respectively. Colour changes are observed by mixing the cups listed.
RESULT:
It was found that there was no change in cabbage juice added to pure water.
We saw cabbage juice turned cherry red with a few pieces of lemon salt added.
We found that the cabbage juice, which we added to the vinegar, turned from dark purple to pink.
No changes were observed in our cabbage juice, which we added baby shampoo. Because the pH of the baby shampoo was close to 7.
We found that in the cabbage juice, which we added carbonate, there was a change in color from dark purple to blue.
İn the cabbage juice, which we added powdered soap, our color turned green.
Finally, it was observed that the color of purple cabbage juice, which we added laundry detergent, turns green, but when the waiting time increases, it turns yellow.
Thanks to this experiment, we observed changes in the different pH values of red cabbage .
Thanks to this experiment, we observed changes in the different pH values of red cabbage . as the acidity value of the juice of purple cabbage, whose pH value is neutral, i.e. close to 7, increases ( i.e., the pH value decreases), its color turns to red, and as the basic value increases ( i.e., the pH value increases), it turns to blue and green.
Harikasınız Havva öğretmenim
thanks alot
Congratulations 👏
thanks a lot
