Purpose of the Project:

With the word puzzle board game, it is a word learning game that can be suitable for all levels of students to easily break the prejudices of the student such as avoiding learning the word, staying away from it and making it fun. This game was made on a 45 * 60 cm wooden board.
Explanation of the material:
There are English and Turkish word groups of 12 adjectives, 12 adverbs, 12 colors, 12 weather conditions, 12 daily activities, 12 professions, 12 organs and 12 means. The students pasted these word groups magnetically onto the board. The students programmed the electronic circuit with arduino. The connections and soldering of the buttons at the beginning of the English words were made. Galvanized sheet metal the students used to stick the word magnets to the board. A buzzer (speaker) students used to indicate that the English and Turkish words you correctly can match corcectly or incorrectly.

The rule of the game: On the left side of the board, English and There are buttons in front of their Turkish equivalents. You press the start button , the led of a random English word will light up. By pressing the button in front of the correct word,you find the correct word. The student has 3 rights. If he does not know it 3 times, the game is over.

Project Users and Usage Areas:

The teachers can design this material even for primary, secondary and high school students, and it is a material that you can adapt to teaching synonyms or antonyms in English and Turkish lessons.

Originality of the Project:

Before we carry out this material,I researched video channels and websites. There were similar materials I and my students from electricty department did a unique project.

They are not fixed words, but any number of word groups teacher can create .The teacher can adapt to the end of the unit.

Result of the Project:

Students’ sparking curiosity for learning new words with the Word puzzle board game.I observed that the students who got enthusiastic as they played games learned words in this way.

Project Suggestions:

Word puzzle board game material is a product that teachers can be develop. It mostly appeals to the senses of sight and touch.It appeals to the sense of hearing by adding pronunciation work, which makes learning better.
