PANDEMİC STEM VILLAGE HOMES

In this study, Pandemic STEM village houses prepared for the eTwinning project were built. Students will explore how a village house can become self-sufficient by taking advantage of nature. They will design a house in harmony with nature. They will discuss how to benefit from sustainable energy sources while designing the house. As a result, students will use their research, discussion, collaboration, and production skills. They will design a self-sufficient home in harmony with nature.

RELATING WITH REAL LIFE

What is the benefit of living in a house in harmony with nature?

RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT STEP

At this stage, the students discussed the solutions that a village house might need. The ideas from the students were to use sustainable energy sources.

The use of the energy in nature at home was written on the board. Work started on suggestions such as solar energy, wind energy, rainwater treatment.

UYGULAMA ADIMI

In this step, students completed their studies remotely. They used a small solar panel to light the house. They planned to generate electricity using wind energy. They showed that by storing the produced electrical energy, the energy needed in the house can be provided. They worked on using rainwater in agriculture and for cleaning purposes. Students made rainwater and recycling by making water filters. They carried out rainwater collection, prototyping and filtration with the help of gutters in the house.
