3. To raise the awareness of students about water saving
4. Utilization of waste water
Activity 1: Videos on climate change and the importance of water as a result of global warming were watched. He chatted with the children. “How do we protect our water?” Questions were asked and we aimed to find a solution to our problem with answers.

It is planned to create activities with recyclable materials and to provide Stem integration to our students. It is aimed to learn which recyclable materials are found in nature and to be reused in activities. Our students will be taught that all materials are not garbage and our students will be raised as environmentally friendly individuals by making them aware of the importance of recycling.
Age of Activity: 4-7 years
Learning Time: One Week
OBJECTIVES
* To increase the awareness of students about recycling and to ensure that they gain positive behaviors
*To enable them to learn which materials are waste and which are not waste.
* We ensured that they were raised as individuals who love and protect nature.
** To provide our students with learning experiences by giving responsibility.
* Guiding students to learn 21st century skills.
* Helping them find solutions to possible problems
Online Teaching Material:Youtube
Offline Teaching Material: Plastics in different colors and sizes, caps, pet bottles, colored papers, cardboard, scissors, glue, straws, apeslang ..
LEARNING PROCESS
Activity 1: Technology: Teacher caught children’s attention by bringing recycling bins to classroom
* What are these boxes for?
* How are the colors of the boxes?
What are the colors of the boxes?
*What are the causes of environmental pollution?
* Why recycling is important was asked and boxes were examined. The attention of the students was drawn to the subject and they were asked to present possible solutions. Then, videos about recycling are watched on youtube and students are informed.
This activity, firstly aims to evaluate waste materials using STEAM disciplines, calculate the daily waste produced at home and design products from waste. Secondly, they will make seed balls and observe the seed germination. Finally, students will write an acrostic poem. As a result of the event, it is aimed that students take action to reduce waste at school and at home. And moreover, they are expected to change their behavior in their daily lives.
Age of Student: 13-14 Activity duration: 4 lessons
INTRODUCTION
The world population is growing rapidly. At the same time the need for energy is also increasing. Therefore, it is necessary to meet the energy needs of future generations without ignoring today’s needs. Firstly, the depletion of natural resources based on sustainable development should be prevented. Secondly, resources should be used consciously. It is possible to do this with recycling. Thanks to sustainable development, a healthy, quality life and quality education can be provided. Moreover, poverty and hunger can be ended through sustainable development. To summarize, individuals should be aware of the fact that natural resources are limited and can be depleted. Firstly, the teacher asks the following questions to students. “Are natural resources infinite?”, “Which of the items you throw away can be re-evaluated?”, “Are the wastes that we consider as garbage really garbage?“. In conclusion, students have used brainstorming to generate ideas. Then they watched 2 videos explaining the importance of recycling and sustainable development.
With the seed balls activity, it is aimed that our students gain a love of nature, realize the importance of recycling and experience the beautiful pleasure of producing. It came up with the idea of bringing what comes from nature back to nature.
SEED BALLS ACTİVİTY
Should we bring what comes from nature into nature again?
Why is it important to protect our natural resources?
What is sustainability? What comes to your mind when it comes to environmental sustainability?
Do you have any solution suggestions for this?
Our students are encouraged to brainstorm with their questions, and they are asked to offer solutions and research.
Seed balls are tiny balls that are thrown into the soil to provide plant formation in the soil, to revitalize and aerate the soil. Information is given on this subject. Also, seed balls provide a suitable environment for the development of seeds and protect them from external factors.
