On our journey from the STEM club to the STEM school, which we carry out on the eTwinning European School Community platform, we organise out STEM practices in our class throughout the year with the parents of the children. We celebrated our work by participating in the 2020 STEM Discovery Campaign initiative. For the 2020 STEM Discovery Campaign, this year we had to update our activity due to the worldwide Covid-19 outbreak. We planned online activities with teachers and students, involved in the project. We held a meeting for the activities with the project teachers.
We planned a joint event during the meeting. We wrote a common STEM lesson plan. Teachers implemented this lesson plan online. We created virtual classrooms for students. Interviews were made in the online event. The lesson plan was implemented online. The aim of the lesson was to teach students how to design scales. As a result, students designed the scales and also challenged their friends to do so. At the end of the activity, students prepared banners using the information they learned. It is an honour for the teachers to organize an online STEM event for the 2020 STEM Discovery Campaign and use the resources in a live lesson. Our activities were held on 20 – 26 April 2020.
